The first step in the Retrofit Assessment Process is to discuss your needs and aspirations for your property. As Retrofit Assessors we are trained to evaluate your property thoroughly, taking into account various factors such as your comfort preferences, the history of your home, indoor air quality, and energy usage. 
By adopting a holistic approach, we ensure that all aspects of your home are considered, rather than focusing solely on individual elements.

Central to our assessment process is the Fabric First Principle. This principle emphasizes prioritizing improvements to the building's fabric, such as walls, floors, and roofs, to minimize heat loss. By addressing these fundamental elements first, we can significantly reduce the energy demand of your property before considering the installation of low-carbon technologies.

During the assessment, our Retrofit Assessor will conduct a detailed survey of your property, gathering essential information about its current condition and your retrofit goals. We'll also request your energy bills and any existing technical plans or surveys you may have to build a comprehensive understanding of your home.

Based on the findings of the assessment, we'll provide you with a bespoke Home Retrofit Report. This Whole House Retrofit Energy Improvement Plan will outline potential remedial works that may be required to enable retrofitting and provide ballpark cost estimates for the proposed improvements.

After you've had the opportunity to review the report, we'll schedule a free follow-up consultation with our Retrofit Coordinator, this is normally carried out over a Zoom-type call. During this session, you'll have the chance to discuss any questions or concerns you may have and clarify the findings of the report. We are hear to help, and we're committed to ensuring that you feel confident and empowered throughout the retrofit process.

Our support doesn't end with the consultation. We'll follow up with you (but only if you wish), at a later date to gather feedback and check if you require any further assistance. It's essential to note that our Retrofit Assessment Process is conducted in accordance with PAS2035 standards. This ensures that our assessments meet the highest industry standards for quality and compliance.
